What Got You Into Yoga?
Not knowing anything about yoga but curious to find out, I dived into a 200hr teacher training program through the teachings of Sivananda, in Austria 2013. Living in an ashram for a month opened my mind and rocked my world.
Having moved to California, I continued to learn and teach Gentle, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga, under the guidance of Bryan Kest, Maty Ezraty, Judith Lasater and the teachers at Yoga Source Los Gatos. But also my family, friends, students and life as a whole continue to teach me everyday.
As yoga is a life long journey for me, I love learning and practicing yoga in all aspects, like pranayama, asana, philosophy, kirtan and meditation, which comes through in my teachings
My Yoga Practice
Everyday is different, no moment ever the same. Wherever I am in my practice I let each pose come naturally, with steadiness (sthria) and ease (sukha), creating balance and enabling every transition to become integrated within the yoga flow.
Every pose, together with every transition, has a magical potency.
Our bodies are intelligent. In my practice, I try not to think but to feel. Feeling my body, my breath and being sensitive to the prana (energy) all around me. I love to create space and just see what comes up!!!
I don’t attach myself to any particular pose, and try not to have any expectation of an outcome. Focusing on breath and setting a gentle intention, helps keep me balanced when falling out of the moment.
When I leave the mat, I try to keep my yoga alive with the practice of awareness.
It's not always easy, but that’s why its called practice.
With breath, love and a light heart, we can make the world a better place together.
